Did you know that Governor Tony Evers formally made a proclamation in 2021 declaring July to be BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) Mental Health Awareness Month?
During the month of June we also celebrate Juneteenth on June 19th, which commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans.
June is Pride month and it is celebrated June 1st-29th.
May is Mental Health Awareness month and the theme is Back to Basics.
This year the 84th CHHSM annual conference was held in Louisville, KY and the theme was Forward Together.
In efforts to focus on rehabilitation, many US states have put Raise the Age laws into practice. These laws focus on setting a higher age requirement for an individual to go through the adult court system and be given sentences associated with being tried as an adult.

Orion was recently awarded the Qualified Treatment Trainee (QTT) grant, with Jennifer Hawley, Chief Program Officer and Senior Clinical Supervisor serving as the organization’s in-house trainer.
Orion Family Services was recently awarded a Safety Services contract with Dane County in January 2022 which expands upon the organization’s current Safety Services work in Green and Jefferson counties.
